ABERDEEN, N.C. — An Aberdeen man has been arrested following a reported breaking and entering incident in December, according to the Aberdeen Police Department.
Officers responded Dec. 17 to a residence near Woodgreen Drive and Bradford Drive after a caller reported a breaking and entering in progress. The caller, who was not home at the time, reportedly observed live surveillance footage showing a man entering the home.
Police located a man matching the suspect description about a block away. He was identified as Christopher Keith, 37, and detained while officers continued their investigation.
Surveillance video reviewed by officers allegedly showed Keith manipulating the rear door lock, entering the residence, taking two items, and exiting through the same door.
Keith has been charged with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. He was taken before a Moore County magistrate and held on a $10,000 secured bond.
All charges are allegations, and Keith is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
