Brian Keith Smith, 39, was arrested early Sunday morning at a Burlington hotel after law enforcement served multiple warrants, authorities said.
The Burlington Police Department confirmed that Smith was wanted on several felony and misdemeanor charges, including two counts of second-degree kidnapping, two counts of assault on a female, and felony larceny of a motor vehicle.
Smith was taken into custody without incident at the Royal Inn and Suites. No injuries were reported during the arrest. Authorities emphasized that all charges are allegations, and Smith is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
