by Sophia Bennett

PALM BEACH COUNTY — Deputies with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of Evens Joseph, a Black male, late Tuesday morning in connection with an alleged theft, according to official records.

Joseph was taken into custody on suspicion of larceny — other theft, a charge covering unlawful taking of property not specifically categorized under other Florida theft statutes. The arrest was documented under Report No. 494757 and filed by PBSO.

Authorities have not released details regarding the location of the alleged offense, the type or value of property involved, or whether any property was recovered. No information about potential victims has been disclosed.

Under Florida law, theft charges vary depending on the value and nature of the property and can result in penalties ranging from fines to incarceration if upheld in court. Prosecutors will review the report to determine whether formal charges will be filed.

As in all criminal cases, Joseph is presumed innocent until proven guilty. The Boca Raton Tribune will continue to monitor the case and report verified updates as they become available.
