In a major crackdown, city police arrested six youths and a Bangladeshi woman from a hotel for allegedly producing explicit blue film content. The arrested individuals were identified as Safikul Haque, Jahangir Alam, Saddam Hussain, Suraj Jamal, Sofiqul Islam, and Malla Jahangir.

Preliminary investigations reveal that the Bangladeshi woman had entered Assam illegally from Meghalaya, lacking a valid visa. She had been trafficked alongside four other women with the help of mediator Zakir. Zakir allegedly sent four women to Hyderabad for employment, while the woman in question was handed over to Sofiqul Islam for exploitation, with a payment of Rs 7,000.

Police have identified Zakir as the prime mastermind behind the trafficking operation, but he remains on the run.
