A 21-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with murder after allegedly stabbing her husband to death in Elizabethtown, North Carolina, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO).

On September 12 at approximately 5:30 p.m., the county’s 911 center received a call reporting a stabbing at a residence on the 600 block of McLean Road.

Responding deputies found Micah McKoy suffering from a stab wound to the chest. Law enforcement officers administered life-saving aid until EMS arrived and transported McKoy to a local hospital. Despite efforts, he later died from his injuries.

Following an investigation, authorities arrested Zyasia Nya Qui Nee Crumb and charged her with murder.

The initial report from BCSO referred to Crumb as McKoy’s girlfriend, but later clarified that they were married.

During her first court appearance on September 18, Crumb was assigned a court-appointed attorney.

She is currently being held in the Bladen County Detention Center on a $1,000,000 secured bond.

The case remains under investigation.
