Kenner Man Arrested in Lake Charles Drug Bust
Lake Charles, La. – A 35-year-old Kenner man, Zetonio Lightfoot, was arrested in Lake Charles following a drug bust by the Combined Anti-Drug Task Force.
Authorities pulled over Lightfoot on February 26 along I-10 East for a traffic violation, according to Lt. Jeffrey Keenum of the Lake Charles Police Department.
During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered:
Two compressed bricks of cocaine
A large plastic bag of suspected powder cocaine
Totaling 3.5 pounds of drugs with a street value of over $159,000
Over $2,500 in cash
Lightfoot was taken into custody and booked into the correctional center. He faces charges of:
Possession with intent to distribute a Schedule II drug (cocaine)
Transactions involving proceeds from drug activity
His bond was set at $1,525,000.
Additionally, authorities revealed that Lightfoot is currently on parole in Louisiana, under the supervision of the New Orleans District Probation and Parole Office.
The Combined Anti-Drug Task Force is a collaborative effort involving local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies working to combat drug trafficking in Calcasieu Parish.
