by Sophia Bennett

LIMA, Ohio (WLIO) — Zeeke Clark, a 21-year-old Spencerville man who made headlines after escaping from the Allen County Jail in June, has pleaded guilty in three separate criminal cases.

Clark admitted guilt to a burglary charge stemming from his June escape, during which he broke out a window during an interview at the jail and fled the facility. Authorities captured him just 30 minutes later at a residence on North Elizabeth Street in Lima.

In addition to the burglary charge, Clark pleaded guilty to theft of a motor vehicle and a new theft charge related to an incident at Meijer. As part of a plea agreement, the original drug charges and other escape-related offenses were dismissed.

Clark is scheduled to be sentenced in November. He faces:

2 to 8 years in prison for the burglary

Up to 2 additional years for the theft charges

His final sentence will be determined by the court based on the severity of the offenses and other case details.
