An 18-year-old man from Montgomery, Zavion Rhodes, has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of another teen during an alleged theft.
According to WAKA, Rhodes is accused of murdering 18-year-old Jaydon Lewis on May 1. The incident took place in the 900 block of West South Boulevard, near a Waffle House restaurant.
Authorities report that Rhodes allegedly ambushed Lewis, fatally shot him, and then searched his vehicle in an apparent attempt to locate a firearm.
Following his arrest, Rhodes was booked into the Montgomery County Detention Facility, where he remains held without bond.
