Zaviere C. Williams, an 18-year-old wanted for an armed robbery in Overland Park, Kansas, has been arrested in Kansas City after skipping out on house arrest. According to Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on February 10, Williams was located and taken into custody.
Court documents filed by the Johnson County, Kansas, District Attorney’s Office state that on December 19, 2024, Williams allegedly robbed a victim in Overland Park, taking their backpack, which contained Airpods, a Macbook Air, and a wallet. Williams was charged with aggravated robbery on January 7 and placed under house arrest on January 13.
Following his escape from house arrest, an extradition waiver was filed, requiring Williams to return to Kansas to face his charges. As of February 14, Williams remains incarcerated in Kansas, with a court appearance scheduled for February 19 at 11 a.m. No additional details have been provided at this time.
