ZANESVILLE, Ohio — Two individuals were arrested following a significant drug bust in Cambridge, Ohio, as part of a joint operation by multiple counties under the Central Ohio Drug Task Force (CODE).

The bust took place on Monday, February 3, 2025, when detectives from the Licking, Muskingum, and Guernsey County Sheriff’s Offices, along with the Zanesville Police Department, worked together on a multi-county operation. The task force seized over 500 grams of suspected methamphetamine during the investigation.

The operation began when CODE detectives focused their efforts on a couple from Zanesville. Investigations led them to Cambridge, where the suspects were allegedly trafficking narcotics. A traffic stop was conducted on the couple’s vehicle on Southgate Parkway, resulting in both suspects’ arrest. During the stop, detectives seized a large sum of cash and evidence connecting them to a nearby hotel room.

With a search warrant in hand, officers from the Guernsey and Muskingum County Sheriff’s Offices executed a search at the hotel room, uncovering approximately 511 grams of suspected methamphetamine and other items related to drug trafficking.

The suspects were identified as 39-year-old David Lee Doyle and 37-year-old Brianne Nykol Rollins, both of Zanesville. They face serious charges related to drug trafficking and possession. Doyle is charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, and money forfeiture specifications, while Rollins faces charges of complicity and aggravated possession.

Sheriff Padden praised the teamwork of the agencies involved, calling the operation a textbook example of successful collaboration. Both suspects are being held at the Guernsey County Jail, awaiting a bond hearing at the Cambridge Municipal Court.
