CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) – Detectives are seeking more victims after Zachery Gene Diluzio, 40, was arrested for allegedly stealing tools via phone-order deceit at interior supply stores in Portland and Clackamas, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
On July 9, a store employee reported that a phone caller, posing as a drywall contractor, fraudulently used the company’s account number and a verbal “password” to purchase over $6,300 worth of tools—all picked up that same day by a man and a woman in a gray Chevrolet Bolt with Washington plates.
Investigators discovered a similar incident occurred on July 8 at the Portland branch of the same retailer, involving over $4,100 in stolen tools under comparable circumstances.
Employees later found matching tools listed for sale on Facebook Marketplace. After initiating contact under the store’s guidance, detectives arranged a meeting on July 10. There, they executed a search warrant and took Diluzio into custody. He was found in possession of a forged ID and the stolen tools. ([turn0search0])
Diluzio is now facing charges of organized retail theft, identity theft, first-degree theft, and second-degree possession of a forged instrument. Authorities continue requesting that anyone with information contact them, as additional victims may exist.
