THERMAL, Calif. — Two people have been arrested in connection with the theft of a horse valued at approximately $80,000, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
The theft occurred on Nov. 26 at a property in the 56000 block of Monroe Street in unincorporated Thermal. Deputies said a bay thoroughbred mare was stolen from a local horse ranch.
The Sheriff’s Office Rural Crime Team took over the investigation and identified the suspects as Zachery Cobbs, 22, and Cinderella Von Falkenhausen, 27, both of Temecula. Authorities said the pair were involved in the theft and were arrested on Monday, Dec. 22.
Cobbs and Von Falkenhausen were booked on charges of grand theft and conspiracy to commit theft, deputies said.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to locate and recover the stolen horse and return it to its rightful owner. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office Thermal Station at (760) 863-8990.
