PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — A Plattsburgh man has been arrested after police say he stole thousands of dollars’ worth of rare Pokémon cards during a break-in at a local collectibles store.

According to Plattsburgh Police, Zachariah Jock, 25, allegedly smashed a glass door with a hammer to gain entry into The Card Shop at Plattsburgh Plaza. Once inside, investigators say he stole rare Pokémon cards valued at more than $10,000 before fleeing the scene.

Co-owner Tobias Trombley said the burglary left him shaken, describing the emotional toll of having his business targeted. “You feel violated, like somebody broke in and stole something you worked for,” Trombley said.

Following a weeklong investigation, police arrested Jock and recovered most of the stolen cards. He now faces multiple criminal charges related to the burglary and theft.
