Thapa, a native of Budiganga, Bajura district in Nepal, was apprehended at Delhi’s Anand Vihar railway station by a police team led by Inspector Narendra Sharma of the Crime Branch, Sector-43. The team included ASI Satbir and constables Rohit, Priyank, Ajit, and Yogendra.

Police recovered:

Thapa had joined the Bharadwaj household just seven days before the theft. During interrogation, he admitted to planning the crime after noticing valuables at the home.
