The Kothawalchavadi Police arrested Yuvaraj (36) of Old Washermenpet for allegedly stealing a box of chocolates from a delivery vehicle.
The incident occurred on Friday morning when Saravanan, a loadman, was unloading goods from a vehicle at a grocery shop. During this time, an unidentified person allegedly took a box of KitKat chocolates worth approximately Rs9,000 from the vehicle.
Following a complaint by Ratanlal, the shop owner, police registered a case and conducted an investigation. Yuvaraj was apprehended, and the stolen box of chocolates was successfully recovered.
The accused has been taken into police custody, and further inquiries are underway.
