YUMA, AZ – Yuma Police Officer Gustavo Ramirez has been arrested and placed on administrative leave following an off-duty incident that led to charges of disorderly conduct and harassment in a domestic violence case.
According to the Yuma Police Department, officers responded on Monday to reports of a “suspicious incident” in a parking lot near 24th Street and Avenue C. Upon investigation, Officer Ramirez was identified as a party involved in the disturbance.
The incident occurred while Ramirez was off-duty, but authorities confirmed the nature of the charges stemmed from a domestic violence-related investigation. He was taken into custody and booked on the charges.
