MADISON COUNTY, Miss. — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested 11 Iranian nationals living in the United States illegally over the weekend, including Yousef Mehridehno in Gluckstadt, Madison County.
Mehridehno’s residency was revoked by the U.S. government in October 2017 after authorities determined he provided false information on his visa application and committed suspected marriage fraud. Additionally, in February 2025, Mehridehno was listed as a known or suspected terrorist. He is currently in ICE custody awaiting removal proceedings.
The recent arrests come amid heightened tensions involving the U.S., Iran, and Israel. Alongside the 11 Iranian nationals, ICE also apprehended a U.S. citizen who allegedly threatened ICE officers while harboring an undocumented Iranian national.
ICE continues its efforts to enforce immigration laws and remove individuals living in the country illegally, particularly those who pose a potential threat to national security.
