Youngstown Men Arrested After Shoplifting Spree at Liberty Walmart

Clarett, Howard, and Graham Face Theft and Credit Card Charges

by Amelia Crawford

LIBERTY, Ohio – Three Youngstown men have been arrested after allegedly going on two separate shoplifting sprees at the Liberty Walmart on April 10. The suspects – 21-year-old Jamek Clarett, 18-year-old Dwayne Howard, and 19-year-old Resean Graham – face multiple theft charges after being caught stealing items from the store.

According to Walmart security, Clarett and Howard were first seen pushing a shopping cart full of stolen goods out of the store without paying. Later that same day, they returned to the store with Graham, and were observed by an employee using various credit, debit, and gift cards at the self-checkout lane.

The three men left the store with stolen items, only to be met by Liberty Police officers who arrested them and took them to the county jail.

During the search, police found 32 credit, debit, and gift cards in the possession of Clarett and Howard, leading to additional charges of credit card misuse for Clarett.

All three suspects have pleaded not guilty to theft charges, and Clarett faces the added charge of misuse of credit cards. A pretrial hearing was held on Thursday, and another court hearing is scheduled for May 28 at 9 a.m. in Judge Jeffrey Adler’s courtroom.
