A 45-year-old self-styled yoga guru from Chhattisgarh, Yogi Tarun Kranti Agrawal alias Sonu, who claims to have spent a decade teaching yoga in Goa to both Indians and foreigners, was arrested for possession of nearly 2 kilograms of cannabis.
Agrawal had recently acquired a property covering five acres near the famous Dongargarh temple. Rajnandgaon Superintendent of Police, Mohit Garg, confirmed that the arrest was made under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Besides the drug possession case, the police are also investigating his finances and verifying his claims of having traveled to over 100 countries for yoga teaching.
