The Lohian Khas police have arrested a proclaimed offender (PO) who had been absconding for the past two years. The accused, Yatin alias Aman, a resident of Padda Colony in Lohian Khas, was wanted in connection with a 2023 case involving a minor. He had been evading arrest since the registration of the case in September 2023.
In a separate action, the police also arrested another proclaimed offender, Gurpreet Singh of Dalla village in Kapurthala. Both accused had been declared POs by the court after repeatedly failing to appear during the investigation and legal proceedings.
Police officials said further legal action is underway.
