HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) — A 19-year-old man was arrested for driving a stolen Mercedes-Benz in Hartford.
Police identified the driver as Yandel Lopez-Serrano of East Hartford. Officers spotted the stolen 2015 Mercedes-Benz C300 on Washington Street on October 1 and followed it until it was parked on Broad Street.
Lopez-Serrano exited the vehicle and was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Hartford Police Department and charged with:
Theft of a motor vehicle
Second-degree larceny
Use of a motor vehicle without the owner’s permission
Police confirmed the Mercedes had been stolen out of Bloomfield and successfully recovered the vehicle.
