A Houston man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a Sam’s Club in Wichita Falls, where thieves stole over $30,000 worth of jewelry.

Xavier Ebron Bowiw was taken into custody on March 21, 2025, and charged with theft of property over $30,000 and burglary of a building. He is being held in the Wichita County Jail on $150,000 bond.

The Burglary
Police responded to a burglary alarm at Sam’s Club on Kell Boulevard just after 3:00 a.m. on February 13. Upon arrival, officers found a side window shattered in the automotive section, along with broken glass near the jewelry display cases. Security footage showed two masked suspects wearing gloves smashing the display case with a sledgehammer, grabbing the jewelry, and fleeing in a silver Chevrolet Malibu with a covered license plate.

The Arrest
Shortly after the burglary, a GPS tracker hidden in one of the stolen items began pinging near the Wichita-Clay County border. Around 4:00 a.m., Clay County deputies spotted a silver Chevrolet Malibu on U.S. 287 and pulled it over.

Deputies identified Bowiw as the passenger and immediately noticed jewelry with Sam’s Club price tags on the floorboard. Upon searching the vehicle, they found:

A black trash bag filled with stolen jewelry

A second bag containing jewelry display stands

A black sledgehammer

A backpack holding shoes that matched prints left at the crime scene

Second Suspect Still at Large
As of this report, the second suspect remains unidentified and on the run. Police continue investigating to track down the accomplice.
