Worcester Police Arrest Three in Drug Bust, Seize Cocaine & Fentanyl

Three individuals arrested on drug trafficking charges after investigation

WORCESTER, Mass. – On February 14, 2025, a drug investigation conducted by Worcester Police Vice Squad officers led to the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of a substantial amount of cocaine, fentanyl, and drug packaging materials.

The investigation began with surveillance on Park Avenue, where officers noticed 55-year-old Richard Pileggi acting suspiciously, hiding behind a dumpster and pacing. Officers observed Pileggi engage in what appeared to be a hand-to-hand drug transaction with the driver of an Acura.

After the transaction, officers recovered a substance believed to be cocaine from Pileggi and discovered he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. Simultaneously, officers stopped the Acura and took 47-year-old Gary Tyndale of Vineyard Street into custody.

As part of the investigation, police obtained a search warrant for Tyndale’s residence on Vineyard Street. Upon executing the warrant at approximately 3:30 p.m., officers seized a large quantity of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, and drug packaging materials.

Charges and Arrests
The following individuals were arrested and face drug-related charges:

Richard Pileggi, 55 – Arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Gary Tyndale, 47 – Charged with trafficking in heroin (37-99 grams), trafficking in cocaine, and possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute.
Andre Tyndale – A resident of the Vineyard Street home, charged with drug trafficking and possession with intent to distribute. He also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
The Worcester Police Department continues to investigate the case, and additional details may be released as the investigation progresses.
