A property dispute turned deadly in Timmareddypally village, Kondapak mandal, on Tuesday, resulting in the murder of 56-year-old widow Yeluri Ramulamma.
Police reported that tensions arose between Ramulamma’s two daughters regarding the division of her two-and-a-half-acre property.
In a shocking turn, the younger daughter’s husband, Jeevan Reddy, allegedly strangled Ramulamma at her home over the land dispute. After the attack, he reportedly fled the scene, taking her earrings.
Neighbors discovered her body late Tuesday night and alerted authorities. CCTV footage captured the incident, aiding police in their investigation. A formal case has been filed, and further inquiries are ongoing.
