MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. (WBRC/Gray News) — Jacqueline Gaydash is accused of stealing over $50,000 worth of jewelry and sterling silver flatware from an elderly woman. The items included a wedding band, four gold bracelets, a diamond tennis bracelet, and a sapphire and diamond ring, totaling over $44,000 in value. Gaydash is also accused of taking $11,000 worth of sterling silver flatware.
Court records show that Gaydash used deception to unlawfully gain control of the victim’s property. She faces charges of financial exploitation of the elderly and theft. If convicted, she could face up to 20 years in prison.
