LEON COUNTY, Texas (KBTX) – A woman was booked by the Leon County Sheriff’s Office in connection with an ongoing mail theft investigation.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service confirmed the recovery of stolen mail from the residence of Stephanie Maddux.
Maddux was arrested on May 29 but bonded out the following day.
The investigation has since been transferred to the U.S. Postal Service Police. As evidence is being processed, authorities said customers whose mail may have been stolen will be notified.
