BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) — A woman was arrested Friday night after a disturbance at a restaurant on Market Street escalated into a violent confrontation with police.

Authorities responded around 8:45 p.m. to reports of a dispute involving an employee dressed in “inappropriate work attire.” The employee, Amber Foster, reportedly became argumentative when asked by management to change clothes and go home. Foster allegedly cursed at the manager and other employees before running through the restaurant yelling at customers and staff.

The situation worsened when Foster “erupted” and swung at employees and the manager as they tried to escort her out. Police were called, and upon arrival, found Foster sitting at an outdoor patio, visibly irate and continuing to yell.

When officers attempted to place her under arrest after she tried to re-enter the restaurant, Foster resisted, refusing to comply and attempting to punch officers. During the ensuing scuffle, one officer deployed a stun gun, after which Foster was handcuffed. An officer suffered a hand injury during the confrontation.

Foster was taken to Mercy Health for treatment of facial injuries sustained during the altercation. While receiving medical care, she reportedly said, “My reputation is to fight back. I always fight back.”

She now faces felony charges for assaulting a police officer and obstructing official business, as well as a misdemeanor for resisting arrest. Foster’s arraignment is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
