WILMINGTON, DE — A Wilmington man is facing drug-related charges following his arrest during a narcotics investigation on January 16, 2025.
At approximately 11:40 a.m., members of the Wilmington Police Department’s Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division observed suspicious activity in the 100 block of North Dupont Street that was indicative of illegal drug transactions. Police made contact with 29-year-old Donnell Gill, who was subsequently arrested without incident.
During the arrest, authorities found Gill in possession of 4 grams of crack cocaine and .45 grams of heroin. He has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.
Following his arraignment in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas, Gill was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution while awaiting further legal proceedings.
Police have emphasized that all charges are allegations and Gill is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
