SHARON, Mass. — A Dedham man has been arrested for allegedly running a door-to-door paving scam that defrauded seniors and disabled residents out of thousands of dollars.

William “Bill” Pusateri was charged with larceny over $250 from a person aged 60 or older, as well as being a common and notorious thief.

According to the Sharon Police Department, a woman reported on December 2 that she paid Pusateri $4,000 in cash for driveway paving work that was never completed.

Investigators discovered that Pusateri allegedly ran the same scam across multiple Massachusetts towns, using company names such as Priority 1 Paving in Dedham and Best Price Paving in Sharon. Police say he currently has 11 active warrants for his arrest.

Pusateri was located at a motel in Sharon on December 4 and arraigned in Stoughton District Court for the latest incident. He will also answer to the 11 outstanding warrants at a later date, authorities said.
