Utica Police, in coordination with New Hartford Police and the Oneida County Sheriffs, arrested William Hubbard, 35, during a joint drug raid on Friday, September 19. The operation targeted a residence on Alexandria Road in the town of New Hartford as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation linked to the City of Utica.
During the execution of the search warrant, officers recovered more than seven and a half pounds of cocaine, 85 pounds of marijuana, $20,000 in cash, and drug packaging materials including scales. Additionally, several thousand pills suspected to be methamphetamine were seized and sent to the New York State Crime Lab in Albany for further analysis.
William Hubbard was taken into custody at the scene and is currently facing serious charges including first-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class A-I felony, and third-degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Class B felony. Further charges are expected pending the results of the lab tests on the pills recovered.
