GREENVILLE, N.C. – A former IHOP employee was arrested after police revealed a conspiracy involving him and a manager to rob the Greenville IHOP last month.
According to warrants, 32-year-old William Brown was taken into custody by Greenville police for the June 16th robbery at the IHOP on Evans Street.
Police reports state that a man entered the restaurant, held an employee at gunpoint, and demanded money. Brown, who previously worked at the IHOP location, allegedly collaborated with manager Chico Haddock to carry out the robbery.
Brown reportedly stole nearly $3,300 during the incident, according to the warrants.
He faces charges of common law robbery and felony conspiracy and is currently held at the Pitt County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
