Weston Herrington Arrested for Stealing Cattle in Covington County

Jones County man charged with felony livestock theft

PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) – Weston Herrington, 33, from Jones County, has been arrested and charged with felony theft of livestock after allegedly stealing five cattle from a Covington County farm.

Herrington is accused of taking five head of cattle from a Covington County property on September 21, with each animal valued at $10,000. He was arrested the following day.

The Mississippi Agricultural and Livestock Theft Bureau partnered with the Covington County Sheriff’s Office to identify Herrington and recover the stolen cattle. All the stolen cattle have been found and returned to their owner.

Weston Herrington is currently being held at the Covington County Jail. Authorities say additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.
