In a major anti-drug operation, police in West Garo Hills arrested three suspected drug peddlers on Sunday morning from a rented house in Phulbari.
The raid was conducted around 6:20 am by the district ANTF team while the accused were resting inside the house. Officers recovered 95.78 grams of suspected heroin, Rs 1.53 lakh in cash, two iPhone handsets, two empty vials, medicines, a keypad phone, and documents from their possession.
The arrested individuals have been identified as:
Rochan Ali (24)
Rofikul Rahman (31)
Abhijit Rabha (24)
All three are residents of Paltan Bazar area, Kamrup district, Assam, and have been booked under the NDPS Act. Further investigations are underway to trace the source of the narcotics and any additional accomplices.
