Wesley York Jr. Sentenced to Two Years for Drug Trafficking

Pleads Guilty in Connection with "Operation Safe Neighborhoods

Wesley York Jr. has been sentenced to two years in federal prison after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges. York was one of eight individuals arrested in September as part of the Justice Department’s “Operation Safe Neighborhoods,” a nationwide initiative targeting illegal drug distribution and gun crimes.

During the operation, York admitted to possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute it. Authorities also seized 12 firearms and large quantities of drugs, including methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana.

The others arrested in the operation face various charges related to drug trafficking and gun crimes across the region.
