WATFORD CITY, N.D. (KUMV) — An 18-year-old Watford City man, Tadan Defoe, has been arrested and charged in connection with several thefts around the area. Defoe is accused of stealing a truck earlier this month and is also suspected of being involved in other related thefts.
Following a search warrant at his home, McKenzie County Sheriff’s deputies discovered methamphetamine, marijuana, firearms, and materials typically used for weighing and selling drugs.
Defoe is currently being held at the McKenzie County Correctional Center on a $50,000 bond. Authorities have stated that additional charges could be forthcoming as the investigation continues.
The McKenzie County Sheriff’s office reminded the public about the importance of locking vehicles to prevent such crimes.
