Jamshedpur police reported a rare case after a man admitted to stealing from his own home. Waqar Ahmed approached the Azadnagar police station on Sunday to report a burglary at his residence.
During the investigation, officers grew suspicious and confronted Ahmed. He eventually confessed to committing the theft while his family slept, citing financial desperation as the motive.
Authorities recovered the stolen items, which included a gold chain, several earrings, and a ring. Deputy Superintendent of Police Bachandeo Kujjur confirmed that Ahmed’s confession concluded the unusual investigation swiftly.
This case has highlighted how unusual financial stress can lead to unexpected criminal acts, even against one’s own family.
