The Visakhapatnam City Police Task Force, in coordination with the 3rd Town police, conducted a raid on Orchid Wellness & Spa near VIP Road, resulting in the arrest of two spa managers and a customer for allegedly running an illegal prostitution racket under the guise of massage services.
The raid occurred at around 6:30 PM on November 4, following credible reports that the spa was violating government rules. Upon entering, officers apprehended Kalluru Pavan Kumar (36) and Jana Srinivas (35), who attempted to flee.
Both confessed that under the banner of the licensed spa owned by Kasireddy Arun Kumar and Rahul, they instructed women via WhatsApp to provide sexual services to customers for approximately Rs 3,000 per client.
During the search, Cheeli Ramachandra Prasad (43), a male customer, was found with a female worker. Police also rescued nine women from the premises and placed them under protection.
Authorities seized key evidence, including Rs 7,000 in cash and three mobile phones (an iPhone 13, a Nothing Phone, and a Samsung phone).
A case has been registered under relevant legal sections. The two main owners, Kasireddy Arun Kumar and Rahul, have been named as accused, and a manhunt is underway to apprehend them.
The arrested managers and customer remain in police custody as investigators work to uncover the full extent of the organised prostitution racket.
