Visakhapatnam’s Two-Town police have arrested five individuals, including Gorle Naresh (36), Gangiri Pawan Kalyan (26), Nilagiri Venkata Lakshmi (51), Gangiri Padma (43), and Pedagadi Srinu (24), for their involvement in an online sex trafficking operation. The arrests were made after an investigation that started with the apprehension of Gorle Naresh, who is suspected to have created the website used to exploit vulnerable women.
The operation targeted economically disadvantaged women, promising them quick money in exchange for their involvement in the illicit activities. The police were tipped off after a raid at a lodge where several individuals were initially arrested. Upon interrogation, victims revealed Naresh’s role in the scheme, leading to further arrests.
According to Two Town SI Tirumala Rao, 11 more suspects are still on the run, and the investigation is ongoing. Of those arrested, one woman has a history of involvement in similar offenses, while the others are first-time offenders. The police believe that there are at least 20 more people involved in this operation, and more arrests are expected as the investigation progresses.
The Visakhapatnam police continue to work on dismantling the trafficking ring and are urging the public to stay alert to such activities.
