Acting on a tip-off about their presence in the Barkheda area, police conducted a morning raid and apprehended both brothers.
According to Govindpura SHO Awadhesh Singh Tomar, the victim, Arun Goswami (36), is a resident of Nehru Market, Barkheda, and works as a plumber in a sanitaryware company in Indore. The accused, Virendra and Rohit, live nearby.
Police said that a minor dispute on October 19 escalated into a violent confrontation during which the brothers allegedly attacked Arun with knives, causing multiple serious injuries. Based on the victim’s complaint, a case of attempted murder was registered.
During interrogation, the accused admitted to frequent quarrels with Arun, claiming he had threatened them first. Police investigations also revealed that Arun has a criminal background and is a listed goon under Govindpura police station. Further investigations into the case are ongoing.
