Vinoth Arrested for Mobile Theft at Chennai Central Station

GRP recovers 10 stolen phones worth Rs1 lakh

The Government Railway Police (GRP) at Chennai Central apprehended Vinoth (36) from Medavakkam for allegedly stealing mobile phones from sleeping passengers at the station.

During a routine patrol, officers spotted Vinoth attempting to snatch phones and quickly intervened. Upon searching, the police recovered 10 stolen mobile phones valued at approximately Rs1 lakh from him.

Vinoth reportedly has a history of such thefts at the station. After questioning, he was sent to judicial custody as the investigation continues.
