Police in Barwani have arrested two individuals in connection with a robbery case involving a woman, recovering cash and a motorcycle used in the crime. Officials confirmed that efforts are ongoing to apprehend two other accused who remain absconding.

Barwani Superintendent of Police Jagdish Dabar said that the arrested accused have been identified as Vinod Badole, a resident of Indrapur village, and Aslam Saiyyad from Idgah Mohalla in Barwani. Police recovered Rs 16,000 in cash and a two-wheeler from their possession. The search is continuing for two other suspects, Anil and Garda.

The incident took place on January 20, when the complainant, Durga Aske, an employee of a microfinance company, was returning to Julwania on her scooter after completing collection work in nearby villages. Near a deserted stretch between Indrapur and Mohanpura, two unidentified men intercepted her and snatched her bag.

The stolen bag contained Rs 40,840 in cash, a tablet device, a fingerprint verification machine, and important company documents.

During interrogation, the accused also confessed to their involvement in another robbery case registered at Nagalwadi police station. In that incident, a poultry businessman, Rais Abbas Khan from Sendhwa, was robbed of Rs 1.12 lakh on Gavla Ghat road the same day.

Police said Vinod Badole was the mastermind behind both robberies, which were carried out with the help of his associates. Further investigation is underway to trace the remaining accused.
