ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Webster man is facing serious charges after the Greece Police Department (GPD) recovered a large quantity of drugs packaged for distribution during a recent investigation.
According to police, the bust took place on August 24 at a residence on Laurelwood Drive in Greece, New York. Officers seized 50 pounds of marijuana and 5 pounds of hallucinogenic mushrooms, both ready for distribution.
The following day, 40-year-old Vincent Turanow of Webster was arrested and charged with:
Second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance
First-degree criminal possession of marijuana
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges or arrests could follow.
The seizure is one of the more significant drug recoveries in the area in recent months, with law enforcement emphasizing continued efforts to crack down on illegal drug activity in Monroe County.
