PADUCAH, Ky. — Vikaskumar Patel was arrested Monday afternoon following an investigation into allegations of theft and sexual offenses, the Paducah Police Department reported.
Police said the investigation began after a woman reported in December 2025 that she had worked for Patel at a local business and rented an apartment from him. She alleged that Patel withheld her entire wages, which were deposited into a bank account belonging to him, contrary to their rental agreement. She also accused Patel of repeatedly making unwanted sexual advances and inappropriately touching her during her employment.
A second woman came forward, stating that while under 18, she was employed by Patel and subjected to commercial sexual activity involving another man. She also reported being lured to a hotel room after leaving Patel’s employment, where she was sexually assaulted by an unknown male.
Patel was located and arrested Monday afternoon and is currently lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
