During a routine vehicle check at Sool Kakryal, police stopped a car driven by Vikas Sharma and recovered heroin from it. Along with him, three other passengers — Amit Sharma, Babloo Sharma, and Amit Kumar — were also arrested.
The case has been registered at the Katra police station. Authorities revealed that three of the accused are “hardcore, notorious offenders” with multiple prior involvements in eight criminal cases.
Officials said this arrest is a significant blow to narcotics smuggling networks operating in the region.
