Kumsi police in Shivamogga taluk have arrested two men, Vikas (21) and Aman Singh (21), in connection with the murder of a 70-year-old woman, Basamma, at her residence on October 2.
Authorities said the crime appeared to be motivated by financial gain. The accused allegedly killed Basamma and police launched an investigation immediately after the body was discovered.
Further details of the case, including the method of murder and the accused’s motive, are being examined as the investigation continues.
Police have confirmed that both Vikas and Aman Singh are in custody and will be produced in court soon.
