Venoor Police have arrested two individuals in connection with the theft of a bike left parked after running out of petrol near Panuru Gurunarayana Circle in Nittade village.

The arrested have been identified as Mohammed Irshad (25) of Kerekodi, Venoor, and Sadiq Khan (26) of Kannadikatte, Padangadi. A court has remanded them to 14 days of judicial custody.

The incident occurred on November 11, when Sampath Kumar of Kukkedi left his bike parked near Panuru after it ran out of petrol. Upon returning the next day, the bike was missing, prompting him to file a complaint at Venoor Police Station.

On November 20, PSI Oman and his team, while on duty at Kerekodi, spotted two youths riding a bike without a registration number. When stopped for inspection, they failed to provide any documents. Further inquiry revealed that the bike they were riding had been stolen, leading to their arrest.
