In a tragic case of road rage, S. Venkatesan, a 55-year-old private company employee and resident of Velapadi in Old Town, Vellore, was killed after confronting a group of reckless riders.

The incident occurred on Filter Bed Road when Venkatesan, riding home on his two-wheeler, reportedly lost control and fell after three youths sped past him. The confrontation escalated, and an argument broke out. Police said the trio—K. Prakash (20), V. Ajith (20), and Jawahar (26), all from Thottapalayam under Vellore Corporation limits—pushed Venkatesan, causing him to fall unconscious.

Passersby rushed the victim to Government Pentland Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. Vellore North police quickly arrested the three suspects. Further investigation is ongoing.
