Delhi Police have arrested two robbers, Mohd Nadeem and Ravinder, for stealing Rs 1.2 lakh cash and digital devices from a car in Vasant Vihar. The incident took place on January 10 near Palam Marg, when the car owner, F Hussain, fell asleep inside his parked vehicle while his family dined at a nearby restaurant.
According to police, the accused arrived in a separate car, parked behind Hussain’s vehicle, and broke the rear windshield. One of them overpowered Hussain and pushed him inside his own car, escaping with four bags of cash, an iPad, and AirPods.
A Vasant Vihar Police Station case was registered under Section 309 of BNS, and police used technical surveillance and vehicle registration details to track the robbers. Raids in Inderlok and nearby areas led to the arrest of both men.
Authorities noted that Mohd Nadeem has nine prior cases including robbery and attempt to murder, while Ravinder has four prior cases involving theft, robbery, and Arms Act violations. The getaway vehicle, a Honda Amaze, was also recovered.
