A team from Panbazaar Police Station conducted a successful raid at a rented house in Azara Market, Lakhtokia, Guwahati, following intelligence reports regarding drug distribution activities. During the operation, police recovered 15 vials containing suspected heroin, weighing a total of 20.42 grams. The raid also uncovered several incriminating items, including empty packaging materials, electronic gadgets, and high-value possessions such as a Rodd hand watch worth Rs 1,83,100 and an AMERICAN TOURISTER bag.
The primary suspect, 30-year-old Usman Ali from Barpeta, was arrested on-site. Legal proceedings have begun against him as authorities continue their investigation into the drug-related activities.
