Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has arrested Vindhyachal Yadav, principal of Bhagelu Das Inter College, along with a question paper solver, Shivam Yadav, for orchestrating a high school exam fraud during the ongoing UP Board examinations.
The arrests occurred in the Karuri Bahlolpur area under Dullahpur police station following an STF investigation. Officials seized an English question paper, an answer sheet, an OMR sheet, an admit card, an Aadhaar card, and two mobile phones from the suspects.
According to authorities, Shivam Yadav appeared in the exam on behalf of a student, Shubham Yadav, after being paid Rs 40,000. The principal allegedly bypassed biometric and verification checks to facilitate the impersonation.
The STF emphasized that this case highlights the ongoing presence of copying mafias in the region, which has seen similar incidents in past years. Both accused have been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway.
